Dogs welcome

A perfect holiday is one that all the family enjoy together - and we know your dog is considered part of the family. :)   Besides, we believe dogs should have just as much fun as the rest of us! The Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company are very much dog friendly - we understand how important our four legged friends are and that they should come on holiday too.

Well behaved dogs are more than welcome on all of our trips for a nominal fee of £3 per dog.
Important Note:  Sorry, only registered disability assistance dogs allowed on the Train of Lights.

However, as a responsible dog owner, we know you'll understand when we ask you to adhere to the following;

  • Keep your dog on a lead at all times.
  • Do not allow your dog to sit on our seats (includes, train, boat, ferry and bus services).
  • Always 'pick up' after your dog.

Reviews

  • A thoroughly enjoyable day out - I was very impressed with the organisation, it was always very clear where we were supposed to go and what time we were supposed to be somewhere - would happily do it again.
  • Lovely trip - The steam railway train is brilliant, the iconic click-clacking of the train was enjoyable to listen to and and the train ride had stunning views. The short ferry was also lovely (only about a minute or two).
  • Brilliant - Brilliant day out. We booked the train and cruise and had a great time. What's not to like; steam train, ferry river crossing and river cruise. Then all in reverse. Great day out!
