Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival at Powderham

Toby’s Garden Festival is a joint collaboration by gardening broadcaster Toby Buckland and the popular magazine Country Gardener. They pop up annually in the stunning location of Powderham Castle, near Exeter, the 14th century family home of the Earl and Countess of Devon.
The main focus is to bring together the best nurseries from the West Country and beyond – including many well-known Chelsea medal winners – and host two days of quality gardening talks on a wide range of horticultural topics – all free to visitors.
In addition. there are top-notch arts and crafts, locally-made street food to suit all tastes and free family music and entertainment for a fabulous day out.

- Brilliant day - Very pleasant day out, VERY well organised and friendly teams (train and ferry, especially in social distancing times). Would do it again and add the boat cruise.
- A great day out - The railway is fantastic and all the staff were very kind, polite and only to happy to give any assistance necessary. Can't wait to do it all again but with the grandchildren next time. Thank you to all the staff.
- Atmospheric steam train - We took the steam train from Paignton to Kingswear and then the ferry to Dartmouth (inc in the ticket). It was a trip back in time and most enjoyable, despite the very rainy weather! Good value for money.
